Week of 8/2 - M&T Bank Stadium
Ever wonder why Baltimore was left without a pro football team for nearly 10 years? The Colts had been the city's pro franchise since 1953. Unfortunately, failed negotiations on a new stadium plus the city threatening to take the team by eminent domain led to a move. Owner Jim Irsay had infamously moved the team in the middle of the night on March 28th via Mayflower trucks, an image that still haunts fans today. Which brings us to....
...The newest piece: M&T Bank Stadium!
In 1996, pro football returned to Baltimore as the Ravens and quickly took over the city. In just 25 years, the franchise has seen 2 championships and elite Hall of Famers like Ed Reed, Ray Lewis and Jonathan Ogden. And who can forget reigning MVP Lamar Jackson! If you look closely at this image of M&T Bank Stadium, you'll notice it was handwritten with the names of all 669 Ravens players in history. Hope you enjoy reminiscing on some of your favorite memories at the stadium and finding your beloved Ravens!
